Tiruvannamalai Visit of His Holiness 11th June to 17th June

 Arrival:

His Holiness arrived at Tiruvannamalai on 11th June night at around 10.30 PM. The entourage was first received at Kizhpennathur village, 10 Kms ahead of Tiruvannamalai and then on the Girivalam route. His Holiness was taken on procession on a decorated vehicle amidst Nadswaram recital for about two kms ahead of Sankar Math branch, Tiruvannamalai, located on Chengam road on Girivalam route.

His Holiness was then received at Raja Rajeshwari Temple and then at Shankar Math. It was about 11.45 PM when His Holiness retired for the day.

12th June to 17th June

At Shankar Math:

 

His Holiness gave darshan before Puja hours morning & evening daily. Teertha Prasadam was blessed to waiting devotees after Puja hours. Veda Parayanam by Pathashala students from Ramanasram, Bhajans, Tirupugazh recital, Nadaswara Samarpanam were some of programmes organised during Puja and evenings.

14th June was Dwadashi in the morning followed with Pradosha & Shukravara Puja in the evening.

15th June Visits: His Holiness visited Shudhananda Ashram on Girivalam route maintained by Dharma Rakshana Samithi. His Holiness gave Anugraha Bhashanam and blessed Sandalwood seedlings to devotees from Javadu Malai and also to local devotees.

His Holiness then visited a Goshala on Girivalam route maintained by devotees of Kanchi Math. His Holiness then visited Maruttuva Kula Mangala Sangam premises on Raja Veethi. His Holiness was welcomed by traditional Nadaswaram families. The community fondly remembered visit of Pujya Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Shankaracharya Swamigal & His Holiness in the year 2002. His Holiness gave Anugraha Bhashanam. On return to Srimatam Camp His Holiness blessed Anugraha Bhashanam to Teachers Community & devotees.

16th June

Chandi Homam- Monthly Event at Shankar Math

After completion of morning Puja, His Holiness blessed the Purnahuthi of Shata Chandi Havan . It is to be noted that the Shankar Math branch at Tiruvannamalai with divine directions & blessings of His Holiness has been conducting Chandi Homam every month during Pournamis or on Shravistha Nakshatram since many years for Loka Kshema. So far they have performed  more than 125 Chandi Homams. With the blessings of His Holiness they conducted this Pournami Chandi Homam as Shata Chandi Homam to commemorate the visit of His Holiness and also since they crossed 125 monthly Chandi Homams. His Holiness sprinkled the holy water at Raja Rajeshwari Shrine and blessed devotees with Teertha Prasadams.

Pournami Puja was performed in the night followed with Chandradarshanam.

 

17th June

His Holiness visited Apita Kuchambal Sametha Arunachaleshwara Swamy temple in the early hours. Temple authorities and Shivacharya Gurukkals received His Holiness with Traditional Purna Kumbham Maryadai. His Holiness was first taken to Sindhura Vinayaka Shrine, then to Arunachaleshwara Swamy Sannidhi & Apita Kuchambal Amman Sannidhi and Utsava Sannidhis. Vishesha Pujas & Deeparadhai was performed.

 

Temple honours was given to His Holiness at the Mandapam in front of Amman Sannidhi. The Shivacharyas & temple authorities were blessed with shawl and prasadams by Srimatam Camp officials in presence of His Holiness.

His Holiness returned to camp and performed Nitya Trikala Chandramouleeshwaara Puja.

Several devotees took the opportunity to perform Bhishavandanam & Pada Puja. Many other devotees from Chennai, Bangalore & Andhra came to Tiruvannamalai to have darshan of His Holiness in this divine Kshetram.

Sri VS Subramaniam of Ramanasramam, Trustees from Yogi RamsuratKumar Ashram, Retd Judge from High Court, Delhi Sri Ramaswamy, Sri Sankaranarayanan, Chairman & Managing Director Canara Bank, Vellamandi Natrajan, Minister for Tourism Government of Tamilnadu, Tiruvannamalai District Collector Sri Kandasamy & family were some important dignitaries who sought blessings of His Holiness along with many devotees at Tiruvannamalai.
