In our life, to achieve the highest state of detachment, we should first be attached only to good works and not leave any stone unturned to achieve it. Just as we see sometimes, Government sanctioning sudden waivers to certain things, we cannot expect the same in this path. But, there are simple ways to remove impurities (Doshas) like performance of Nitya Anushthanams, Namasankirtanams, by applying our mind in good things and by keeping away from negative things. In our Dharma, Punyam also can be achieved by simple means like giving grass to cows-, यद्गोग्रासप्रदानव्रतसुकृतमविश्रान्तमुज्जृम्भते स्म।
Even by treating our parents at homes with respect, caring them with affection, serving them to their satisfaction & honouring them, Punya can be achieved.
Life span, knowledge, fame & strength increases for those who take care of elders with respect & dignity. A good life style is important in Hinduism. On the contrary, nowadays, style has become life. Gunas – good qualities are very important. While the qualities of Soundaryam - beauty, Sowkumaryam- softness, Sousheelyam-good nature, Sowjanyam- good courtesy, Soubhratrutvam - Brotherhood, are found in our Dharma, Soumukhyam is also important. The art of conducting ourselves in presence of Gurus, Tapasvis, elders, learned, with affection & respect can be learnt by Dharmic knowledge. While we experience and achieve astonishing & extraordinary things through Dharmic deeds, along with it, in our daily lives by knowing Dharma, by shaping our thoughts according to Dharma, & observing Dharmic Anushthanams with faith starting from Prata Smaranam we stand to achieve spiritual evolvement.
For example, On waking,
thinking about holy rivers during Snana,
remembering Annapoorna Devi during eating, we pray for Gnana Vairagyam.
All the pathashalas are being run only to achieve Gnana & Vairagyam. Satvika Pravrutti must increase and Rajasa & Tamasa Pravrutti must be negated and work done with a spirit of Karma Yogam.
Work is worship. We should perform divine works. We should select good works and perform it with devotion. The Nayanmaras were embodiments of Bhakti- devotion.
Dharma should be learnt, understood and implemented, for this lot of efforts and many peoples single-minded & coordinated efforts are required. To achieve this objective, these initiatives of Dharmic education have been commenced. Today students assembled here have learnt certain Dharmic subjects & have exhibited their talent. Assembling is important. Generally in the material world, we come across spare parts help in assembling of eatables, products, clothes etc. Through study of different Dharmic subjects, good messages are assembled. In the just concluded Upanyasam we saw assembling of Dharma Upadesham in an interesting and enjoyable manner by quoting several instances from history, Sastram, Puranam, Sangeetam.Even for an event we see presentation of several aspects in one form. In Hindu Sanatana Dharma though there are several subjects, distribution and presentation is required. For this Yogam & Niyogam is essential. Niyogam is assembling/arrangements and Yogam is right product/ platform. Good education system is necessary for doing good deeds. Sanskrit along with mother tongue should be taught. Atleast a Manipravaalam type of language should evolve. For example in books, by reading Daivattin Kural we get an introduction of Sanskrit and also learn about tamil history, Sastric culture & its satvic nature.
Konam means Mukku - Jyeshtha Annan- Mukkannan Perumals’ God,
अर्धार्धं means Charanam (half of half is Paadam) – प्रणतोस्म्यहम् I bow.
(I bow at the Lotus feet of Shiva who is Gajacharmambara one who adorns the skin of an elephant, who is Ganga Pati, who is God of Vishnu Bhagavan.)This kind of Manipravalam shows healthy mixture of languages.*Full text in website
